The Kennedy Manor Bed & Breakfast Inn, Jefferson, Texas

Built in 1860, the spacious downstairs has 14' tall decorative ceilings and original cypress floors. The second story was added in 1901 and the home was used as a boarding house for many years. The home was restored in 1989 and was opened as a bed & breakfast.

The Kennedy Manor indulges guests in a fine Victorian atmosphere. Each luxurious guest room features antique furnishings, ceiling fans and private baths. Early risers may help themselves to coffee from the upstairs or downstairs hospitality rooms. In addition to the 6 guest rooms, Kennedy Manor offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the entire house. Guests can read a good book in the Library or spend some time in the Music Parlor playing the antique Packard pump organ or the Grand Piano. The large formal dining room can accommodate several guests at one time or the smaller breakfast table adjoining the kitchen can provide a cozier atmosphere. The house has large hallways and spacious 14-foot ceilings

From orchestrating the theme you've planned to creating a unique menu, your wedding will be as original as you are. We can meet all of your needs from rehearsal dinner to the reception and overnight accommodations. Our specialty is gourmet wedding cakes. We offer a full range of reception styles from buffet to seated meals.

Our private gardens are also available for your special event or bridal portraits. Rent the whole house to ensure your family the perfect welcome into your lives together

Rates and Policies

Rates: $99 - $149
Kennedy Manor offers Non-smoking rooms only. Smoking is allowed outdoors on porches.
Children ages 12 and older are welcome with adult supervision at all times.
Home history tours are given daily at 2:00 with a reservation.
Check-In time is from 3 pm-6pm. Please call if you need to check-in later than 6 p.m. so that we are aware of late arrivals.
Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m.
Dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
Cancellation Policies
All reservations made by phone are held with a major credit card. We accept MC, Visa, Amex, Disc. A deposit of (1) one night's room rate plus taxes will be charged to your card when the reservation is made and the remaining balance will be charged at check-in.
A $25 per room cancellation fee is charged for cancellations. If cancellation is made less than 8 days before arrival and we are unable to re-book your room, then the full room rate for your entire stay will be charged. If room is re-booked, only $25 charge applies.
Full room rates will be charged to credit card for no shows. We realize that cancellations can not always be avoided. If you cancel more than 8 or more days prior to your stay and reschedule and you are able to reserve another date within 30 days of your originally scheduled stay, we will apply the $25 fee towards your stay.
Rescheduling your stay is considered the same as a cancellation and all cancellation policies will apply.
Online Payment and Cancellation Policy
When reserving a room online, the full room rate and taxes will be charged immediately to your credit card. Cancellations and/or modifications to your reservation can be made online by using your Reservation Confirmation number. This number is included in the email confirmation you receive after making your online reservation.
For single room cancellations:
Cancellations made 8 days or more in advance of your check-in will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made 7 days or less from your check-in day will be charged the full room rate if we are unable to re-book your room. If we are able to re-book your room, only the $25 cancellation fee will apply.
For Group Reservations/Cancellations:
Cancellations or modifications to groups reserving more than 1 room require 30 days advance notice. We will make every effort to re-book all rooms cancelled. However, any rooms remaining un-booked will be charged full room rate to the credit card used to reserve the rooms.
All Holidays and Jefferson Special Events (Candlelight, Mardi Gras, Pilgrimage, Girlfriend's Weekend, ...etc.), require a minimum of 30 Days advance notice for cancellation.

The town's bygone glories cannot be forgotten, and today Jefferson is a most eloquent reminder of an era long since vanished.

The city of Jefferson is perfect for a weekend get-a-way, a honeymoon spot, meeting/retreats, or a one-day family outing.

Today, Jefferson is a quaint small town featuring tour attractions reminiscent of its heyday. Its streets are lined with antique and gift shops stocked with unique treasures. Horse-drawn carriages and trolleys tour along the original brick streets. Just one block away from downtown are riverboat tours of Big Cypress Bayou, the same waterway once traveled by stern-wheelers. Evenings in town offer live theater productions, as well as a variety of dining choices. Retiring for the night in Jefferson offers the opportunity to experience any of the over 60 bed and breakfast establishments, including the Excelsior Hotel.h
