Set on one and a half acres of land,
The Inn's lovely grounds provide room for
wandering, a lively celebration, or a simple game of catch.
The porches that grace the profiles of The Inn offer a quiet resting spot to enjoy the many lovely centuries-old homes in the quaint village. The Meeting House bell can be heard chiming out the hour and a distant rooster heralds in the country morning.
The Inn was originally built as a residence in the 1830's. The owners began taking in summer visitors in the 1870's - as did many of the larger homes - when the Monadnock region became a wildly popular tourist destination. Many of these homes underwent serious renovations; adding rooms to accommodate the surging tide of city dwellers hungry for fresh air, and frequently changing their architectural schemes to remain competitive with the whims of style.

Each of the eleven guestrooms has been uniquely decorated. We have a variety of room styles including two-room suites with televisions, a soft green colored room with a canopy bed, a cozy lavender room tucked away on the third floor and many others, each unique in its own way. Each room has its own private bath, with rich, thick towels and beautiful amenities. High thread-count sheets and goose-down comforters on each bed are just examples of how we want you to visit with us again and again. If you see each room, you'll have trouble picking your favorite. |
Dining at the Restaurant
The Inn's menu brings bistro elegance to country fare, with a wine list to match this range. Our food will thrill the traditional as well as the adventurous diner. We proudly prepare the majority of our food in our own kitchens including our homemade breads and rolls, rich stocks, and elegant desserts. Wines have been collected to compliment the menu.
Our guests not only have a variety of choices for their taste buds, but also their seats - whether by the fireplace, a sunny window, on our popular screened-in porch, or by the wood burning stove in our cozy and often lively well-stocked lounge. Reservations for houseguests recommended.

Occasions
A warm and inviting setting for any type of gathering - weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, special birthdays, executive retreats or a weekend getaway. Our grounds and four dining rooms can accommodate events from a small, intimate business meeting of ten to a glamorous tented affair for two hundred. Our Chef can prepare a feast for any occasion, whether it's country casual, sophisticated elegance, or New England hearty.
There are many attractions to bring you to the Monadnock region, but you won't find a reason to stay anywhere else once you've been to visit us at The Inn at Jaffrey Center.
