Situated on more than five secluded acres of field and forests, two miles from the village of North Conway, The Buttonwood Inn on Mt. Surprise offers a peaceful, rural setting and the convenience of being close to everything.

Each individually decorated guest room at The Buttonwood Inn has a private bath. Rooms are furnished with a king, queen, or twin beds. Some of our rooms offer guests a fireplace, a two-person Jacuzzi, and wheelchair accessibility. All rooms have a radio alarm clock, telephone, and hair dryer.

Breakfast |
| Begin your day with coffee or tea by the
fire in our living room or in your guest room. A full gourmet breakfast
will be served later at your own table in our dining room beginning with either homemade
pumpkin-walnut or banana-coconut bread, fresh cranberry scones, a warm fruit crisp, or a
fresh cool fruit salad, as examples of our food offerings. Savory entrees might include a baked sun-dried tomato omelet with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses or mushroom-sausage strata with cheddar cheese. Sweet entrees may either be a baked French toast with pecans and wild Maine blueberries or "lighter than air" yeasted Belgian waffles, to name a few. All of our foods are prepared fresh with local New Hampshire products. |
Afternoon Tea |
| Home baked sweet treats are served daily in our Dining Room at afternoon tea including a variety of teas, hot chocolate (colder months), or freshly squeezed lemonade or iced tea (warmer months). Guests can enjoy their refreshments in either our spacious but cozy living room, Mt. Surprise Room by a roaring fire in the colder seasons, or outdoors on the front porch or in an Adirondack chair on the grounds during the warm seasons. |

| With over fifty restaurants in the valley, dining options range from ethnic cuisine to the finest in Four Star dining. We'll help find the restaurant that's perfect for you and make reservations where possible. Most are located just minutes away in North Conway Village. |
We have retained the country character throughout our 1820s farmhouse with wide pine floors, period stenciling, antiques, and local artists' works. In the cooler months, afternoon tea can be sipped in front of the fire in either our large, but intimate, living room or the more casual ambience of our family room (Mt. Surprise Room). The Mt. Surprise Room is equipped with a bar area, guest refrigerator, TV/VCR/DVD, extensive movie collection, computer with internet access, games, books, and magazines.
