The Mast Farm Inn has been
welcoming guests since the 1800s. And while there have been improvements, like
clawfoot soaking tubs-for-two, air conditioning, steam baths, massage tubs, and down
pillows and comforters, the hospitality remains the same, attentive and sincere.

Enjoy a complimentary two-course gourmet breakfast each morning at the
Inn. Depending on the season, sit by the fire in one of our wood-paneled dining rooms or
on the terrace by the hill garden. We will have a private table set for two, or for your
larger family or group, if you're traveling with others.
Breakfast at The Mast Farm Inn is served for
an interval of time (including 9am), the length of time depending on the number of guests
in house. Guests may arrive for breakfast anytime during the time period specified at
check in, without prior reservation. Our popular coffee baskets are delivered to rooms and
small restored cottages before breakfast.

Our lodging specials sometimes feature weekends (in the quieter
winter months) or offer discounts for midweek or extended stays in our busier months
Our most popular package is our Anniversary Package, which
includes wine on arrival, dinner, special flowers in your room or cottages, and Mast
Farm Inn mugs to enjoy at home.
The Fine Print on
Lodging Rates and Inn Policies |
- Nightly lodging rates include a full breakfast and are based on double occupancy, unless
otherwise indicated. A charge of $25 is added for each additional person over 2 (or in our
largest cottages, 4). Rates vary seasonally. Rates are subject to applicable taxes
(currently 7% NC sales tax) and to change without notice. The rate quoted to you when your
reservation is confirmed with our staff will be the rate honored.
- In our Raspberry Hill Cottage, we offer a Weekly Cabin Rental. Such a weekly rental does
not include breakfast (available at additional charge) or daily maid service. A cleaning
fee at the end of the rental also applies. Rates vary seasonally and are subject to
applicable taxes and to change without notice. Confirmed reservations rates are honored.
- Gratuities are not included in lodging rates.
- Children of all ages are welcome in our seven cottages. Our farmhouse rooms are reserved
for adults and children 12 and over.
- No pets.
- A minimum stay is sometimes required for advanced reservations on weekends, holidays, or
peak seasons. Please inquire.

- A deposit of at least one night's stay is required at the time of the reservation.
Guests are financially responsible for their entire reservation, unless cancellations or
changes are made at least two weeks in advance. Holiday, peak season, and large or long
bookings may require larger, possibly nonrefundable, deposits and longer cancellation
periods. A minimum cancellation fee of $25 per bedroom applies to cancellations at any
time, for any reason. Some circumstances, e.g. extended bookings and packages, incur a 10%
cancellation fee; these circumstances will be noted at the time of the reservation.
- Check-in is from 3:00pm to 9:00pm; check-out is at 11:00am. Please make prior
arrangements if travel plans necessitate other times.
- One of our new cottages, the Gazebo Cottage, is wheelchair accessible, as are our
restaurant, Aunt Josie's Bar, and Nooks and Crannies, our gift shop.
- Our restaurant features fresh, organic, delightfully creative cuisine. Terrace and
fireside dining are specialties of the house. Our dining schedule varies seasonally.

- Wine and beer are available in our restaurant and in Aunt Josie's Espresso and Wine Bar
for your enjoyment at the Inn.
- Our inn and restaurant are smoke-free, including outside dining areas on the porch and
terrace.

The Mast Farm was listed in the
National Register of Historic Places in 1972, as "one of the most complete and best
preserved groups of nineteenth century farm buildings in western North Carolina."
Thanks to inspired restorations and good care, The Mast Farm Inn
welcomes visitors today as it did a hundred years ago, providing delicious meals and
comfortable lodging in a beautiful setting.
