The Hawkesdene House is a private home that combines all the charm and comfort of an English Country House with the rustic beauty of the North Carolina mountains to provide a Bed and Breakfast experience unmatched in the area. Our house sits on twenty acres of land nestled in a mountain cove adjoining the Nantahala National Forest.
So come on in. Relax in a rocking chair on our spacious deck overlooking a sparkling mountain stream. Meander through the many woodland paths that weave their way through the surrounding hills. Or just curl up with a good book by the fireside in the Great Room. It's your relaxing getaway. You can set your own pace.
Phillips Creek, which originates in the Nantahala National Forest, is perfect for kids of all ages. It is rumored that gold may be found - we'll loan you gold pans and wish you good luck!

| The Hawkesdene House has five guest bedrooms - each with private bath - and one with full kitchen. Guests enjoy a full breakfast served at 8:30 am. Special early breakfasts can be arranged for those early trout fishermen, hikers, or river runners that want to get an early start. |
The Hawkesdene House Cottages are nestled in a beautiful mountain cove. Each cottage can accommodate up to 10 people with two or three bedrooms, living room with fireplace, large kitchen/dining area, and a screened porch with rocking chairs and a swing overlooking the Snowbird Mountains. |
Far from the madding crowds. But close to a lot of other things.
