Comfort at The Adobe on Green Street Up to half of your time spent at the Adobe will be in bed. We searched high and low for the best beds for our guests. Every room features hand-made natural latex pillow-top beds. Spend one night in these beds and you won't want to leave. We also use high thread count cotton linens and blankets. We don't sleep in polyester, why should you?

Every room features private en-suite bathrooms, wireless broadband, TV with DVD player, CD player, iPod speakers, and most important...the most comfortable beds available. Our guests call us a boutique hotel. They love our simple decor and attention to detail. The Adobe on Green Street is not the usual Victorian B&B. Our Bed and Breakfast is comfortable and down to earth.
Cleanliness and maintenance are our highest priority.
From 8:00am to 11am each day we serve a deluxe continental breakfast so you can come and go as you please and set your own morning pace. Our breakfast buffet is in the dining room where you will find tables for two overlooking our gardens and downtown Santa Cruz.
We use the freshest ingredients and serve organic food when possible. Folks who have stayed at the Adobe have asked us about the beautiful hard boiled eggs we serve each morning. They are inspired to ask us about the wonderful egg shell colors: green, blue, olive, brown & almond. In the spring and summer our eggs come from chickens raised by our friend Eli. He has a small brood of happy chickens. They roam free and roost in the trees at the oldest residential structure in the county: The Branciforte Adobe. The beautiful green and blue eggs come from Eli's Chilean Araucana chickens. |

Area Attractions and Activities
Santa Cruz is one of the most lovely, tolerant,
interesting, and entertaining places to visit. It's progressive and a haven for artists,
musicians, entertainers, academia, and a multitude of local color.....which we love.
Pacific Avenue is three blocks from our doorstep, and is the heart of our
vibrant downtown. The street life is always a show with musicians, performers, jugglers
and poets. Surfing is a religion around here. If you don't surf, it's a
great spectator sport.
Santa Cruz is home to the last seaside amusement park on the west coast of the US. Ride
the historic wooden roller coaster.
Six miles from us is one of the best groves of old growth redwoods in the
state.
We have excellent tide pools north and south of us where you can get close to starfish,
hermit crabs and sea vegetation.
There are exquisite golf courses, hundreds of trails for biking
or hiking, and galleries and museums as well. The shopping is
legendary. It's hard to get bored.
We designed our Santa Cruz bed and breakfast to be the kind of B&B we would feel comfortable in.
